Payment Association of South Africa (PASA)

We are registered with the Payment Association of South Africa (PASA) as both a Systems Operator and Third Party Payment Providers. PASA was incorporated by the South African Reserve Bank to monitor all payment and solution bureaus in SA.


PAYTEQ

PAYTEQ is a sister company and by extension our affiliated technology partner. They are the leading supplier of electronic enablement software in South Africa. With their help, we are able to provide technical support, integration and customised systems.

  1. 1. The Customer guarantees that all information provided in the SureTransact application is true and correct.
  2. 2. The Customer undertakes to keep its username and password confidential and shall not allow others access thereto or the use thereof;
  3. 3. The Customer accepts responsibility for all account activity conducted as a result of any access obtained using its access details:
    1. i. Should the Customer’s access rights be shared with any other person by disclosing or allowing others to gain knowledge of the access details; or
    2. ii. Should the Customer leave a computer terminal unattended while in an active browser session; or
    3. iii. in any manner conduct or access the SureTransact system carelessly or negligently.
  4. 4. The Customer acknowledges that access to the SureTransact system may be revoked or suspended at SureTransact’s sole discretion;
  5. 5. The Customer undertakes to inform SureTransact without delay in writing, should the Customer become aware of any breach or attempted breach of the SureTransact system.
  6. 6. The Customer acknowledges and accepts that any use of the SureTransact system is at the Customer’s own risk.
  7. 7. The Customer acknowledges that SureTransact will not, under any circumstances, be liable for any loss or damages (including consequential, direct, indirect, special, punitive or incidental damages) arising from defects or faults in the Customer’s hardware and/or software; or any fault or failure in the Customer’s Internet connectivity; or the unavailability of SureTransact’s system for any reason whatsoever; or any failure on the part of SureTransact to execute instructions issued by the Customer, where such failure was the result of circumstances beyond SureTransact’s control.
  8. 8. SureTransact acts as an intermediary between the Merchant and the Bank, acquires information supplied from the Merchant and the Bank and processes transactions in good faith. SureTransact does not guarantee the correctness of information acquired or supplied and can in no way be held liable by the Merchant for any damages suffered by the Merchant acting upon such information.
  9. 9. It is recorded that any dispute between the Bank and the Merchant howsoever arising, is deemed to be a dispute between the Bank and the Merchant and SureTransact is not a party thereto. SureTransact will in no way be held liable by the Merchant for any damages suffered by such Merchant pursuant to such dispute./li>
  10. 10. SureTransact utilises the services of service providers who maintains Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance and as such SureTransact is not responsible for securely storing, processing and transmitting card data to the PCI compliance standard, but SureTransact’s service providers are PCI compliant. Should the Merchant conduct any activity which results in the Merchant storing, processing or transmitting card data, then the Merchant shall be responsible for securing this data in accordance with the PCI compliance standard.

Refund policy

  1. 1. SureTransact acts as an intermediary between the Merchant and the Bank, acquires information supplied from the Merchant and the Bank and processes transactions in good faith, including all refunds.
  2. 2. Any refunds requested by the Merchant’s clients shall be done in accordance with the Merchant’s refund policy, by the Merchant, which will form part of the conditions of sale of the Merchant.
